Air Jordan PE Class

Joe Johnson #2 of the Atlanta Hawks defends as Mike Bibby #10 attempts to steal the ball from Ray Allen #20 of the Boston Celtics....

PE's (or Player Exclusives) are some of the rarest sneakers because they are not available to the public (thus the term "exclusive") and made to match the uniforms of the players team. In other words these guys have colorways of an Air Jordan Retro that where and mostly never will be released to the general public.

Such shoes often go for well over $400 because of their limited and sometimes one of a kind nature. The players highlighted are Jordan Brand Athletes (including Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Joe Johnson, Ray Allen, Mike Bibby, Derek Jeter & More) hand selected by Michael Jordan to wear and endorse his Multimillion Dollar Company. PE Class is now in session!

D.Rose named an NBA All Star

The Bulls are my team in good and bad, I'm glad things are getting so much better and the team has recovered from a injury filled, miserable 10-17 start to come back and win 11 of there last 15 games. D. Rose has been the catalyst to re-surging Bulls and truly deserves the honor of being selected to next months NBA All Star Game in Dallas.

Oh and just in case you happened to miss this dunk last week:

Songs For Haiti

For the pass week I've felt like most of you. Seeing the images and hearing more and more about the tragedy breaks my hearts. In praying for the people of Haiti I found myself asking "what else can I do?"

A few days later I received an email from an editor at Paste Magazine asking if I would allow them to use my song (Criminal, which was already in their media vault) as part of Songs for Haiti. I replied back with one word word "Yes!" To raise awareness Paste is giving away songs with your donation. Here is the full message from Paste Magazine:

Like so many others, Paste has been moved by the tragedy facing the survivors of the Haitian earthquake. We have launched “Songs for Haiti” (songsforhaiti.org) as a way to raise money and keep awareness high. A diverse array of artists — Ludacris, Of Montreal, Andrew Bird, Hanson, Umphrey’s McGee, Switchfoot, Bruce Cockburn and over 200 others — have donated MP3s (many unreleased) for us to give everyone who donates to help Haiti.

You can donate through Paste or to a charity of your choice (just tell us), and you will have access to our Download Vault and 250 songs (and counting). We don’t think people should donate to the relief efforts in Haiti just to get a reward. But this gives Paste and artists a way to help, using the thing we’re most passionate about—music.

To donate, click below. 100% of money contributed through “Songs for Haiti” will be spread among three charities active in Haiti: Doctors Without Borders, Red Cross, and Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund.

If you’ve donated elsewhere, click below. You just need to tell us, and you can download the same songs as a thank you. It’s our hope that this “honor system” approach will help generate greater excitement and spread the support to the many worthy organizations out there. The goal is to help Haiti, not draw attention to Paste or how much we’re able to raise directly.

Note that donations submitted directly to “Songs for Haiti” are not tax deductible, since Paste is not a charitable organization. However, we are passing 100% of the donations to charities actively working in Haiti. (We do plan on launching a charitable organization & website (Songs For Good) to use this infrastructure to support other charities as soon as we can complete the legal process.)

To see the songs available, go the Download Vault. Artists include: Ludacris, Hanson, Switchfoot, Kevin Barnes (from Of Montreal), Andrew Bird, Marco Benevento, Sarah Borges, Bruce Cockburn, Jason Isbell, Bill Mallonee, Mugison, Sila and the Afrofunk Experience, Wovenhand, Xiu Xiu, Arrested Development, Ben Folds, Bob Mould, Cee Lo Green, Cowboy Junkies, Emmylou Harris, Indigo Girls, Josh Ritter, Marc Broussard, Mark Kozelek, The Greencards, Matthew Sweet, Of Montreal, Passion Pit, Patterson Hood, She & Him, The Avett Brothers, Dan Dyer, The Decemberists, The Jayhawks, The Minus 5, The Low Anthem, Wovenhand, Willard Grant Conspiracy, Jill Andrews and The String Cheese Incident. (Note: Some of these songs are from the “Save Paste” campaign.)

Every bit counts and the need is great. Along with your donations please say a prayer for Haiti and it people, they have a long road ahead of them.

Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs. the New York Knicks

Another great documentary, as part of ESPN's 30 For 30, will be featured at the 2010 Sundance Film festival. Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs. the New York Knicks takes sports fans back to battleground of yesterday.

From Sundance:

Documentary Spotlight
If you’re a basketball fan, you know that one of the great NBA rivalries in the mid-1990s was between the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks. In classic David-meets-Goliath style, the two teams faced off in thrilling seven-game battles during the 1994 and 1995 playoffs. In Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs. the New York Knicks, Dan Klores focuses on the Pacers’ master showman, Reggie Miller, who was as skilled at three-pointers as he was at trash talking. Not only did he antagonize the Knicks; he antagonized a whole city and relished every minute of it—just ask Spike Lee.

Winning Time entertains on many levels: it goes beyond the action on the court and delves into the psychology of the game. By deftly weaving humorous interviews with exciting archival footage, Klores has created a film that appeals to both the die-hard fan and someone who has never seen a game.

I remember these games like it were yesterday! I seriously can not wait until the premiere in March.

Defiant named Top 10 Disc of 2009

Happy New Year! 2010 is finally here and it feels so futuristic! 2009 was amazing and closed with The Houston Chronicle naming my full length debut album Defiant one of top 10 Albums of the year.

From The Houston Chronicle:

9. Defiant, Mic Skills: The man behind Houston's popular Mission Control music series (which ended earlier this year) takes an aggressive stance on his solo disc, which stands up solidly against any of the year's national hip-hop releases -- and knock most of them down. The title track, Criminal and Ultimate Weapon are striking and soulful. But there's diversity here, too, including the heartfelt 2 Stories and Roller Rink, a fun pairing with local favorite Karina Nistal.

Thank you all for helping me make history
!

To celebrate my album Defiant is now available for $4.99 on Amazon now!
