I appreciate the many (and I mean many) people that reach out to me but please reevaluate your motives and thoughts if the only time you speak to me goes something like "hey Mic Skills can you __________ for me". "I AM AN ARTIST FIRST!" - I'll say it again - "I AM AN ARTIST FIRST!" I perform a quality live show and put out quality recordings. I have invested and continue to invest large amounts of money, time and energy towards my art form, so please respect me and other artist in this position as well.
Please keep in mine that I'm heavily invested in my career before I can consider investing into any other artist. Mozart didn't drop what he was doing to help Beethoven with his compositions. So if you bring nothing to the table how can you expect to leave with something?
If you feel like I'm talking to you, more than likely I am and you are one of these people who pimped me out in one way or another. Those days are over, I won't be used that way any longer. To those of you that got one over on me, it is what it is. I'm a very giving person and people have taken and will try taking my kindness for weakness, but I won't change who I am. Who I am got me here and its taking me beyond this place to the place I ultimately desire to be.
