I am a sneakerhead, but when its comes to Air Jordan's I am a purest. "If MJ didn't play an NBA game in a particular colorway I don't want it!" I'm from the era where people who bought Jordans actually wore them to play basketball primarily then wore them off the court as well.

"Those were the days!"

Now with the popularity of retro sneakers in pop culture and the emergence of hypebeast (Def someone that purchases/collects clothing, shoes, and accessories for the sole purpose of impressing others; ie s clone) we rarely see the true original colorways for shoes. I don't ever recall MJ wearing green kicks.

Don't like it so what I don't care! What floats your boat won't sink mine, I'm just saying.

I think we can agree that the folks at Jordan may have finally satisfied all the heads at once. An up to date version of the Air Jordan 1 with the cutting edge technology of today!

Defiant named Top Houston discs of 2009

Christmas came early! I wished for a lot of things, but this was truly unexpected.

The Houston Chronicle my album Defiant was just named Top 10 Houston discs of 2009. I am truly honored and humbled by this selection. I set out to make the best music, so to be selected by the Houston Chronicle (the paper my brothers used to sell in front of Kroger and same paper I've read my entire life) as 1 of 10 Top albums from my city is amazing. So many other albums came out this year by so many artist, I am truly honored.

This project started with me, but I have to thank everyone who contributed to this album;

I was driving toward the venue last night (much earlier than usual) and I needed something to calm me down. So I'm driving down Westheimer headed towards my favorite coffee shop and I see a beacon of light where a fast food restaurant (which shall remain nameless) previous occupied. To my surprise the new Smoothie King was up and running with a drive-thru! And even though the temperature was in the mid 40's there's no doubt it was right on time.

Back in mid October my best friend/stylist A.Styles and I were at Premium Goods shopping for the final Mission Control party @ Mink. while browsing I came across an ill shirt from Simply Complicated with a huge Astronaut graphic. For obvious reasons we bought it on the spot.

Today marks another World Aids Day, and its sad we as a society don't talk about this nearly enough, but its a reality we need to face this head on.
